scrapbooking

I love scrapbooking! It's something that I got into shortly after my son was born in 2000 and it's one of the reasons I am a photographer today.

I have always been inspired by the photography in scrapbook magazines - people capturing the everyday moments in their lives especially - and it made me want to improve my photography and document my children's lives in photos and scrapbooks. Now, I scrapbook about just about everything, including weddings.

Today, this month's Digital Scrapbooking magazine arrived in my mailbox. A few months ago, I was notified that one of my wedding pages had been chosen for publication. Seeing this really brightened my day! :)

I made this page shortly after shooting Reem & Greg's wedding in September of 2006. We had a great time at the wedding and I loved that they had belly dancers to share Reem's heritage with their guests. Click here to see their slideshow.
