  • to the blog of wedding and event photographer, Kris Noorman

I started this blog as a way for people to get to know me a little better, see my work and read some of the stories behind the images. I am so blessed to be able to do something that I love so much. Creating art. Giving people something that they will cherish and pass down through the generations. I love it and I look forward to working with you!

    have camera. will travel.

We are located in West Michigan, but will travel anywhere in the world to shoot your wedding or event!

    Thanks for stopping by.

congratulations, special pricing and military discounts

Congratulations to all those who were engaged over the holidays. My husband proposed to me on New Years Eve (many moons ago). ;) I love to hear how people got engaged, so feel free to share your stories in the comments below if you want.

FEBRUARY or MARCH 2008 WEDDINGS, please contact me for special pricing.

Also, if you (or your future spouse) are in the military, please contact me for information on MILITARY DISCOUNTS. My husband, Jake, was in the Army in the late 90's and served two tours in Bosnia. We have a great respect for those who serve and protect our country. Our prayers are with all those fighting for us right now!!! and for the families they left behind. I spent the first year of my marriage away from my husband while he was in Bosnia, so I know what it feels like to be apart from the one you love. I worried about Jake at that time (even during a peace keeping mission), but I know it was nothing like the kind of worries people are facing today. God Bless our troops!!

family time • the santa train

Another family outing this past weekend to Coopersville to ride the Santa Train. I highly recommend it! We had a lot of fun and it was much better than waiting in line to see Santa at the mall. The kids were totally surprised and I got lots of fun pictures. Here are a few!

what a cute little elf family we are

christmas flashback • dave + tracey 12.16.05

Two years ago today, I photographed the beautiful Christmas wedding of Dave and Tracey. They were married shortly after I started this blog so I wasn't yet doing slideshows. As I was going through their pictures to make the little holiday banner at the top of the page, I realized today is their anniversary. So I thought I'd share some of their pictures, which haven't before been seen here.

Happy Anniversary!

Also, if you are looking for a videographer for your wedding, check out their website.

thank you

Thanks, Erinn, for sending me these great pictures today. I especially love the cute Christmas ornament. :)

family time

This blog is usually filled up with weddings and photo shoots all year long, so now that it's holiday time and photo season is mostly over, I thought I would share a little more of me and my family. Starting with our trip last night to Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids to see the Christmas Around the World display and the fun Polar Express model trains they had running around in there.

The trees line the hallway and are covered with beautiful ornaments from lots of different countries. I liked Mexico ...

... and Australia.

Very cool nativity display

There was an elaborate track running through several rooms with little recreations of old Grand Rapids buildings and little trains chugging around it. My kids loved that!

I love this shot of them looking up at the train as it passes over their heads. :)

me and Jake

Fun outside in the children's area. :)

This trip was the first of several outings I have planned for us this year. I made a little advent calendar for the kids out of jewelry gift boxes. Feeling a little crafty this year. They open one each day from December 1st to the 24th to countdown to Christmas. Inside each is something special (a treat, a small toy, a coupon for an event like going to the gardens). :) They are loving it!!
