I am so blessed to be able to do something that I love so much. Creating art. Giving people something that they will cherish and pass down through the generations. I love it and I look forward to working with you!

Thanksgiving

We had a really nice, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend around here. It was so great to have a few days off now that all my weddings and photo sessions are done for the year. Now I can finish up work on the last wedding of the year and enjoy the holidays with my family. And since no post is complete without photos, here are my kiddos playing on the bed at Grandpa and Grandma's house on Thanksgiving day. :)

It was actually Chloe's idea to have me do a "photo shoot" with her. :) Then Zach had to get in on the action.

My mom said she never let us kids jump on our beds when we were young. I told her I was getting her back by letting them jump on her bed. :)

I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Taking a long weekend ... be back to work Tuesday! :)

something wonderful arrived on Friday

Kevin and Erinn's wedding album!

I am always so excited to see the finished album. They are so beautiful. One of these days, I will take all my old wedding pictures and design my own album and get me one of these beauties!!

Here is a slideshow of their album design for your viewing enjoyment:

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph one of my favorite families for the third year in a row and, oh my, how the kids are growing. Actually, the first year I did their family pictures, there were only two - the girls - and last year there was an addition to the family. He's such a big guy now, walking all over the place. Loved seeing them again. Here is a little slideshow from their session:

This wedding was extra special for me because it was my sister-in-law and I felt so honored to be their photographer. Everything was just beautiful. It was definitely a family affair for us - I was the photographer, my husband was the officiant, and our children were ring bearer and flower girl. :) Here are a few favorites from the day:

kelley + chris • in their own words

I love this feature of my blog. It's so fun to hear what bride's love about their pictures, which pictures are their favorites and why. If I photographed your wedding (engagement, family or senior pictures, too), send me the file #'s of a few of your favorites and why you like them and I'll put them up here on the blog. :)

Here are some pictures from Kelley and Chris's Texas wedding in their own words:

"I love this pictures of me getting ready ... the lighting gives it such a "retro" feel.

"Everyone always comments on this one. She looks so cute peeping out the door at all the guests before the ceremony...she had no idea the photo was being taken, yet it's so beautiful. It also really shows how pretty the back of her dress was."

"I didn't even know that I could look like this. It doesn't even look like me, but something out of a magazine! It's my favorite photo of ME that you captured. I remember this moment well, too. It was right before the ceremony, and I was so stressed out. My hair wasn't doing what I wanted and I was starting to freak out a little because we only had minutes left. And yet the photo turned out so beautiful somehow."

"This photo of the wonderful man who married us is very special. Plus, he's one of those who never smiles for the camera and hates to have his photo taken. And yet every shot you got of him looks so distinguised and happy."

"The posed photo of all of our guests will always be special to me. I love that we have one photo of every single person there for our special day."

"This is one of my very favorite photos of the two of us. The doorway just lends such an effect, and we look so into one another."

"This is one of Chris' favorites. It's fun, and is very much who we are. I love all the sky around us too..."
