I had so much fun taking pictures of Tom on Sunday evening. His family lives on beautiful property and we took advantage of it. The leaves are just beautiful right now and the light was so nice coming through the trees. Here are a few favorites:

The football team made it to the playoffs this year and they bring along the "spirit bus" and have fun tailgate parties before the games. :)

Tom's nephew came to visit for our session and took a little walk with his uncle. So sweet with his little matching #2. :)

I took engagement pictures for Tom's brother, Dan, earlier this year and will also be photographing the wedding next June, so it was fun to be able to get to know some of the family ahead of time. :)

rainy day

working tonight. just felt like sharing this cool picture of lesley and anthony during our rainy engagement session earlier this month. it wasn't the ideal day weather-wise, but we made the most of it and got some really wonderful pictures. :)

What a beautiful fall weekend it was! I took a drive to the east side of the state on Saturday afternoon for an intimate wedding at Depot Park in Clarkston. It was such a nice spot for a wedding. The weather was perfect, the bride and groom looked great, and their close family and friends stood in a circle around the inside of the gazebo to witness their vows. It was lovely. I knew from talking to Becky on the phone and emailing for the past couple months that she would be so nice in person and I was right. She is so sweet and she and Dan are so sweet together. Their kids were all in the wedding and were the cutest kids ever (except for my own, of course). :) Here are a few (OK ... more than a few) of my favorites from the day:

Congratulations, Becky and Dan! It was so wonderful to spend the evening with you and your family. Give the kids hugs for me. They are so cute!!! :)

I absolutely love seeing the pictures I take displayed in people's homes, so I'm starting a new feature here on the blog. I'm calling it "show me your walls" and I encourage all of my past couples and families to email me some snapshots of your wedding, family, engagement, or baby pictures hung on your walls, on shelves, in scrapbooks, whatever. I'd love to see what you've done and share some of your display ideas with others, too.

I traveled to Texas in August for Kelley and Chris's beautiful wedding and Kelley just posted some pictures on her blog this week of some of the pictures that she's framed around their home. She was kind enough to let me snatch a few shots from her blog to share here.
